  • Was there really any need to mention Seung-Hui Cho in this article? Even if the Rektor alluded to his actions - to top and tail the entire story with Cho seems to unbalance it in favour of "US interests" somewhat.

  • Whilst Mikes statements can be read as indicative of Newsvine's current policy, there isn't anything in the legal notices (User Agreement, Privacy & Copyright Policies) which protects you from Newsvine removing your articles for whatever reason they choose.

  • Sorry Mike, I'm not tin-foil hatting anything. If Newsvines response to criticism is to attempt to ridicule people, and off-handedly caricature its critics as being mentally ill, then there is little chance it will grow up to be a civil, intellectual community.

  • Quoting a source is not really the same as providing proof : Consider Appeal To Authority in the case of quoting experts and Appeal to majority or Bandwagon effect, in the case of just finding sources to quote on the web.
